The Lent Lectures 2017: - The Disciples Prayer

Faith

Main space
21st March 2017 19:00 - 21:00

In Matthew’s Gospel and in Luke’s, Jesus teaches his disciples to pray. In this year’s Lent Lectures Bishop Paul will be exploring the riches of the prayer he gave them - and us.

Each lecture, like David Attenborough’s documentaries, will look at a different part of the subject and will end with a short section on “the making of…” (or in this case “the praying of…”). The idea is to learn more about the prayer of Jesus but also to learn how we, as part of the Diocese of Liverpool and of the whole Church of God, can pray this prayer as disciples of Jesus, alone and together.

Each Cathedral lecture will include opportunity for questions and will end with a time of prayer and silence.
