A service of remembrance for those affected by the death of a child.
This service provides an opportunity for all those affected by losing a child to come together to share, reflect and remember at a time of year which can be particularly difficult.
The Alder Centre, part of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, offers support to anyone affected by the death of a child of any age. This service is an annual event organised by volunteers from the Centre, themselves bereaved parents.
There are readings and music during the service. The names of the children remembered are shown and candles lit in memory of them.
If you’d like your child to be remembered during the service, you can register your child’s name with the Alder Centre 0151 252 5391 in advance. Alternatively, on the night please arrive early and let one of the Centre's volunteers know.
