Professor Karen Hunt from the University of Keele uncovers the diversity of women's experiences during the Great War in this free public lecture.
Are the popular representations of women on the British home front accurate? And why do we tend to focus our wartime imagination on images of women as municians workers, nurses or similar rather than the women in the food queues? Join Professor Karen Hunt to uncover the diversity of women's experiences during the Great War in this free public lecture organised jointly by Continuing Education and Liverpool Cathedral (supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund). The lecture is preceeded by Choral Evensong at 5:30pm and will be followed by light refreshments.
