Our Quiet Hour sessions are for children and adults who would benefit from experiencing Gaia away from the hustle and bustle (for example, those with autism spectrum conditions or sensory processing differences).
We are sorry this session is now fully booked
During our Quiet Hour sessions, the Cathedral will be closed to the public so children and adults who would benefit from experiencing Gaia away from the hustle and bustle can enjoy the installation. It might be someone who has an autism spectrum condition or sensory processing differences for example. So we can manage the environment (as best we can) numbers are limited and booking is essential.
Wherever possible we will have adjusted operations and lowered noise levels.
The main Cathedral entrance is accessed by two sets of steps. If you have difficulty using the steps, there is an accessible lift on the left-hand side of the building (if facing the main entrance).
The installation is situated down a set of steps in the Well, however, it can be viewed from ground level (once inside the Cathedral).
There is an accessible wheelchair lift into the Well (exhibition area) which accommodates standard size wheelchairs.
Booking for Quiet Hour is essential. Please book your place here.
There is a Quiet Hour session on 18 June find out more here.
