Paul Smith, Director of Enterprise said:
“This year’s outdoor abseil has really caught the public’s imagination. We normally only have two outdoor abseils, both on a Saturday, but due to the success of those two dates, we’ve had to add a new date to the diary. And we are now able to offer individuals as well as charities the opportunity to abseil down from above the Great West Door.
Many of the places are already sold, but there is limited availability, so please do contact me to find out more information. Or if you’d like to raise money for the charities that already got spaces, please do check with them.”
The abseil takes place 8:00 to 18:00, during this time there may be restricted or changed general visitor access to the Cathedral.
Please note you will only be able to take part in the abseil if you’ve completed your abseil registration.
