Come and Sing - 'The Crucifixion' by John Stainer

Music

Main Cathedral
31st March 2012 18:00 - 22:00

Once again you are invited to be a part of this annual performance at the Cathedral. You can either take part and sing with the gathered choir, or simply sit and enjoy the fruits of all their works.

This classic performance will be directed by Daniel Bishop, Cathedral Associate Organist, who will skilfully steer you through the various pieces. The organist on the night will be David Poulter, Director of Music.

If you would like to be a part of the gathered choir, then simply fill in the downloadable application form and send it in to David Poulter. Attached to the application form you will find the instructions for singers which will help in your planning prior to the rehearsal.

A fee of £5 is payable per singer in order to take part, but members of the congregation are FREE.

Rehearsals for those taking part are earlier than the performance and you must provide your own musical scores for the occasion.

Timetable:

6.00pm  Singers arrive (with own scores please)
6.15pm  Rehearsal
7.30pm  Break
8.00pm  Performance
