Liverpool Cathedral is offering a unique way for couples to celebrate their commitment to each other this Valentine’s Day.

As Valentine’s Day 2016 falls on a Sunday we have arranged a special service at 3pm. Taking the place of the popular Evensong service for the day, the service titled ‘In Praise of Love’ will be free and open to all.

This celebration of love will be a wonderful opportunity for married couples and long term partners to recommit to each other but will also be a chance for those considering getting married to be inspired and hear popular wedding music and hymns sung by the St Margarets Singers

Couples may also wish to enjoy our special Valentines offers on this special Sunday:

The Welsford restaurant prides itself on delicious home cooked food and our chefs have been busy designing a mouth-watering menu for the occasion. The celebratory meal will include 3 scrumptious courses and a glass of prosecco on arrival all for £25 per person. Bookings are being taken for sittings both before and after the service. To book contact the Welsford on 0151 702 7251.

Take advantage of 2 for 1 entry to journey up the impressive Vestey Tower which stands an incredible 154m above the River Mersey and experience the spectacular 360 view of the city and beyond (Blackpool tower and the Welsh hills can be seen on a clear day!)
Ticket price is £5.50 per couple using our 2 for 1 offer The tower will also have an extended opening on this day with the last entry being 7pm allowing couples to enjoy the extraordinary experience in the twilight.

Director of Enterprise Eryl Parry said “We are offering a unique choice for couples this year. The mix and match style of our offer means couples can tailor their experience as best to suit themselves. The tower tour, service and meal could be done all together or just one or two out of the three.”
