Installed and opened in 1993, entrance to the Gallery on the third floor is included in the price of the Tower Experience, and accessible directly from the first stage lift in the Tower.

It consists of a large, internal gallery at the west end of the cathedral, some 16m (52.6ft) above the cathedral floor level.

It houses our exquisite and unique collection of Victorian and Edwardian ecclesiastical embroidery, and offers fantastic views of the Cathedral interior from a great height - an ideal visit for those whose passions are embroidery and architecture, both modern and traditional.

The Cathedral Shop sells an extensive range of Elizabeth Hoare books, cards and gifts plus the new embroidery guide filled with stunning photography. Buy online or visit the Cathedral Shop.

Group Bookings

We welcome group bookings!

A group tour incorporating the Tower Experience as well as the Embroidery Gallery, The Great Space Film and Audio Tour or a guided tour by one of experienced Cathedral Guides can be combined with a number of different catering packages, but booking is essential.

For those with a specialist interest, we can arrange a talk by the curator or one of her team who will show extra exhibits not currently on display.
