Catch up with the many and diverse range of events and happenings hosted by the Cathedral in this section
The Diocesan Eucharist this year will once again be held in Holy Week in the Cathedral.
Following the success of our Holy Week experience “Palms to Go” in 2014 the Cathedral is offering the same way to mark Holy Week in 2015. “Palms to Go” will enable visitors to receive a Palm Sunday cross from one of the Cathedral clergy.
'Whom do you seek?' - Performed this year over five nights, the 2015 Passion Plays use the spaces of the Cathedral to re-enact the events of Holy Week.
Feel free to join us in this delightful celebration of Eucharist which marks the transition towards the end of the afternoon on Maundy Thursday into the contemplative atmosphere of Good Friday heralding the major landmark in the Christian calendar.
We mark the start of Good Friday, one of the most poignant days in the Christian calendar, with the Way of the Cross at 10.30am.
A time of meditation and reflection as we enter the final hour before Christ's death on the cross
A time of contemplation experienced through devotional music and readings which capture the whole essence of Passiontide and focussing finally on the events of Good Friday.
