This exhibition is a prayer journey created by Kip Crooks consisting of 15 paintings and accompanying sketches tracing Jesus’ last days from the last supper to his crucifixion and his rising again.
Join us at the Cathedral between 14th-17th April for a range of family activities.
Following the success of our Ash Wednesday experience “Ashes to Go” the cathedral is offering a new way to mark Holy Week. “Palms to Go” will enable visitors to receive a Palm Sunday cross from one of the cathedral clergy.
Feel free to join us in this delightful celebration of Eucharist which marks the transition towards the end of the afternoon on Maundy Thursday into the contemplative atmosphere of Good Friday heralding the major landmark in the Christian calendar.
We mark the start of Good Friday, one of the most poignant days in the Christian calendar, with the Way of the Cross at 10.30am.
A time of contemplation experienced through devotional music and readings which capture the whole essence of Passiontide and focussing finally on the events of Good Friday.
Whom do you seek? - Performed over four nights, the 2014 Passion Plays use the spaces of the cathedral to re-enact the events of Holy Week.
