Our choir is one of the newest musical ventures at Liverpool Cathedral. It was set up in April 2018.

What is Liverpool64?

Our new choir exsists for adults of any age who love singing and who can sing in tune. It is called Liverpool64 because it will have a maximum of 64 members at any one time. As of July 2018 we already have a fantastic mix of people in the choir, encompassing all ages and genders.

When and where does the choir rehearse?

The choir rehearses on Mondays during term time from 6.30-8pm in the music department.

Where does the choir perform and what type of music does it sing?

Our plan is for Liverpool64 to give 4 performances a year. These will include one full-work concert, one Christmas concert, a spring-time performance alongside our other choirs and then a summer concert featuring a varied repertoire. So, as you can see, the choir will get to work learning a whole host of different music.

Is there a cost to join?

Yes. The cost is £50 per year and includes provision of music, choir folders and teas/coffees.

What if i can't read music?

This isn't a problem. We hope to offer digital recordings of the music we learn and various voice parts via the website, so that members can practise in their own time outside of rehearsals.

How do I join Liverpool64 and is there an audition?

There is no audition to join this choir, just a love of singing with others and ability to sing in key. To join our new choir please email the choir director at stephen.mannings@liverpoolcathedral.org.uk or call (0151) 702 7234.
