We are often asked if we hold weddings, baptisms and funerals in the Cathedral, and the short answer is that we do. Unfortunately, because this is a Cathedral, the long answer is that we don't hold them very often. These special services are available only to regular members of the Cathedral company whose names are recorded on our Community Roll, to those who work here, and to members of the Cathedral Choir and their families, with a small number of exceptions.

With the Cathedral being held in such affection by so many people, we regularly receive requests for the celebration of such occasions from people living throughout the city and region, but almost always we refer them to the parish clergy, whose privilege it is to baptise, marry and bury those who live in the areas for which they have spiritual responsibility.

If you think that you are entitled to arrange a special service in the Cathedral, or need help in getting in touch with your parish priest, please email Emma Williams emma.williams@liverpoolcathedral.org.uk
