How many people can a guide show around the Cathedral?

We try to ensure that one guide only shows up to 20 people around.  If your group is larger, no problem, as long as we know in advance we can arrange for more guides to be in the Cathedral.

Do I need to book a guided tour?

No, guides are available from 10.00am each day Monday - Saturday and from 12noon on Sunday.  Booking is advised if coming as  a large party but individual/family booking is not essential.

Who do I ring to enquire about the kind of tours on offer and to book my group in?

Jenny Moran on 0151 702 7284 or email her at jenny.moran@liverpoolcathedral.org.uk.

Do I have to pay for a guided tour?

Weask for a suggested donation of £3.00 per person.  The money helps support our maintenance and day-to-day running costs.

Can I park at the Cathedral?

Yes, we do have a car park which surrounds the Cathedral.

Are there accessible facilities from the car park to the Cathedral?

Yes, access to the main Cathedral floor is via a lift directly from the car park.

Am I allowed to take photographs inside the cathedral?

Yes, you may, at any time EXCEPT during any service being held in the Cathedral where you may find yourself present (including smaller Chapels accessible to the public). You can check out the Service times on our Worship pages. This also applies if a private or ticketed event/occasion is happening within any location in the Cathedral, when express permission to take photographs MUST be sought beforehand from the Visitor Manager, Event Manager, and/or organisation involved. NO COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED WITHOUT EXPRESS PRIOR AGREEMENT AND IT WILL BE SUBJECT TO AN AGREED FEE.
