Dr Claire Foster-Gilbert is a moral philosopher and theologian who has written extensively on applied ethics in medicine, environmental issues, and public life.  Her publications include The Ethics of Medical Research on Humans, Sharing God's Planet, Integrity in Public Life, and Letters from Lockdown: sustaining public service values during the Covid-19 pandemic.  Her most recent book, Miles to Go Before I Sleep, is an account of a year of punishing treatment for Myeloma, a cancer of the blood with which she was diagnosed in March 2019.
