Nativity Service

Main Cathedral
06th December 2020 15:00 - 15:40

As Christmas approaches, join us for our traditional nativity service.

In this informal celebration of the Christmas story, suitable for all the family, we will recall that first Christmas and why its message of comfort and joy is still so relevant to us in 2020.

Listen to our talented children’s choirs sing upbeat and reflective Christmas music.

Bring your family and friends to encounter this real treat and connect with Christmases past and the real meaning of Christmas.

Keeping You Safe

Your visit to us this Christmas will be a bit different to what you’re used to.

We’ve had to make some changes to keep you and our people safe when you come to see us this festive season. We've looked at how many people we can safely fit inside our building at any one time. That means we’ve reduced the number of people we can welcome to each service or event and you’ll need to book. We know that some of you may be disappointed that you may not be able to attend all the services and events you’d like to. We’re sure you’ll understand that the health and safety of you and our staff is our top priority.

While we’re holding services and events, we won’t be able to welcome other visitors inside our building.

We will be releasing tickets in phases, so we can make sure we can seat each household/family group safely and keep to the government’s physical distancing guidelines. Once we’ve put together a seating plan where we can make sure we can seat people safely, we will release more tickets until we reach maximum capacity.

If you’re feeling unwell, in a high-risk category, self-isolating or if you or anyone you’ve been in contact with has symptoms of coronavirus, please stay at home and cancel your ticket.

Need more information about what we’re doing to keep you safe when you visit us? See the FAQs section on the Visiting Us page which are updated regularly to reflect the current government guidance.

Support Us

Like many other organisations in the city and beyond, we face an uncertain future. Liverpool Cathedral has lost nearly all of its income over recent months, so your donations are especially needed and welcome to help keep entry to Liverpool Cathedral free to visitors. It will help preserve your heritage for generations to come.

You can donate when you book your ticket or join us for the Nativity service with cash or on our portable contactless consoles.

Find out more about how you can support us on our Donation website pages.

Did you know, when you buy something from our Cathedral Shop, you’ll be supporting us too?

Thank you for your generosity.

Please note

If the service is cancelled for any reason, you will be refunded your donation minus the Eventbrite booking fee.
