Public Notice on application to the Cathedrals Fabric Commission

PUBLIC NOTICE

TAKE NOTICE that the Chapter of the Cathedral Church of: Christ in Liverpool

has on this date: 15th July 2022

applied to the Cathedrals Fabric Commission for approval of the following proposal:

The installation of an Echo Organ Division in the south-east triforium bay 2 above the Sanctuary as envisaged in the original specification for the Grand Organ in 1911 and using pipework from a contemporary Willis III organ.

Summary of the nature of work and its extent (and materials) [or in the case of an object, a short description of it and details of the proposal]

The proposed Echo Organ is a free-standing, self-contained instrument which will be integrated into the existing control systems of the main organ.  As well as the instrument itself, associated services will be fitted in access routes and the triforium area.  Additional lighting will be installed for safe passage along access routes.  The triforium area is a large, unused space, which will require no modification to accommodate the instrument and associated equipment.

Copies of the plans, drawings, specifications and other documents accompanying this application may be examined at the office of the Chapter of the Cathedral Church

From this day: 15th July 2022

and until: 12 August 2022
