Fauré’s Requiem at Liverpool Cathedral
Join us for Fauré’s Requiem performed by a massed choir with soloists Danielle Thomas and Damian O’Keefe.
In March 2022, Liverpool Cathedral is staging the understated yet powerful Fauré’s Requiem.
Fauré composed his Requiem in 1888, it is thought, in response to his father’s recent death. He released a revised version in 1890 with additional instrumental parts.
Be moved by Fauré’s Requiem’s ethereal beauty that in Fauré’s words are “dominated from beginning to end by a very human feeling of faith in eternal rest."
The massed choir will perform Fauré’s masterpiece with soloists Danielle Thomas and Damian O’Keefe. Conducted by Ian Wells
Would you like to join the massed choir? You can find out more here.
