National Day of Reflection

Join us in supporting the millions of people who've been bereaved during the pandemic.

We are joining Marie-Curie and using the second anniversary of the start of the first Covid lockdown to reflect on the past couple of years. The day is to support the millions of people who've been bereaved during the pandemic and to reflect on the lives of the people who have been lost.

Many people found it comforting to come into Liverpool Cathedral last year on the National Day of Reflection.

Once again, you can come to the Cathedral to take time to pause and reflect. You may wish to remember a loved one or aspects of life that have changed forever. Or ongoing anxieties about what the future holds.

Come to encounter the peace and tranquillity of our space; light a candle, tie a yellow ribbon round one of our illuminated trees or take a hand-made ‘pastoral heart’.  You may simply want to take time out to relax with a cup of coffee in our Welsford Bistro while you take time with your thoughts.

A focus for our recollections and prayers will be ‘candle-pictures’ centre-piece laid out on the Cathedral.
