Conceived in 2011 to help the Diocese of Liverpool reflect spiritually and theologically during Lent, the lectures have become a popular annual resource.

The lectures usually take place over the four weeks during Lent.

They are delivered in alternate years by the Dean of Liverpool Cathedral and the Bishop of Liverpool.

There is no set style or pattern of delivery as the lectures are fashioned to suit the purposes of the year. The well attended lectures are free and usually take place in the evening.

In previous years the lectures have supported the Bishop of Warrington’s Bible Alive

Details of the current series of lectures can be found in our Events pages.

The recordings of the talks can be heard in our 'Past Sermons' sub-page
